Steamtown National Historic Site & Museum
Great museum to learn about the history of Scranton and broader Lehigh Valley area as a railroad and steamtrain hotspot back in the day. You can also learn all about the history of the railroad industry broadly in the US as well as within the Lehigh Valley. You can get up close and walk through several rea antique train cars and see how people traveled on the railroads back in the day and view the many retired steam engines they have just outside the museum. They also sometimes run the trains and you can see them running on the tracks, spinning them on the platform and more.
